Bust (line art only) — $30

My most cost effective and time efficient option! This portrait is everything from the chest up. Clean, crisp line work out the wazoo.

Bust (Full Color) — $60

If you feel like forking over double the price of the first option, you’ll get an even lovelier, full color headshot of your character!

portrait (line art only) — $90

All of the detail with none of the color! Just kidding, I will add color to the lines to emphasize different parts of the portrait.

The full shebang! Lines! Color! Textures! Magic!

FAQs

For most of my work, turn around time is between 1-2 weeks. The fastest option is the Bust - Line Art Only. Depending on how many details there are, I could potentially turn those around in a few days. The Portrait - Full Color option takes the longest and will absolutely be in the two week range.
Here’s how this shindig runs:
You fill out my character creation form down below. (If there are specifics you need to discuss with me beforehand, you send me a message so we can discuss any details or additional pricing of whatever it is.)
I look over your character’s details and schedule a phone conversation with you, so we can talk about your character and any further details. Again, if there’s anything you’d like that falls outside the typical scope of a project, we’ll discuss details/pricing here.
I agree to take on the project and you officially commit by paying 50% of the project’s cost up front.
Upon receipt of your deposit, I’ll begin my research and sketches. A few rounds of edits and check-in’s take place as the project progresses. I have a document that I send before you commit to anything that outlines this process in detail.
Let’s talk about it! Contact me below so I can make sure it’s something I can do. Adding an animal to your character portrait will definitely be an additional cost. We can go over the pricing of it once I know the scope of the animal and what type of commission you’re interested in.
I am definitely open to making group portraits. I haven’t developed pricing options for them because I don’t really envision having too much of a demand for them. But, if you are in fact interested, please contact me below and we can talk about scope, pricing, and timelines for it!
There’s two reasons it may not be on my list. One: there’s so many playable races now. I feel like I hit the most common ones on my list. Two: It’s an animal based race and…I’m hesitate to offer those. If your character is not on the list and you really want to commission me, go ahead and contact me so we can discuss what you’re looking for.
The typical High Fantasy, D&D campaign setting is my bread and butter for sure, but if you’re looking for a portrait for a different setting, say Call of Cthulhu or Kids on Bikes for instance, by all means, let’s talk! You can still fill out my character creation form down below. Most of the prompts should still apply, even in alternate settings. If there isn’t a box for a specific detail you need, you can always let me know afterwards.

Keep it to an age range like: teenager, 30's, 50's, etc. Some of the fantasy races are very long lived, so it's easier to know what they physically present as then a specific number.

Below are the fantasy races that I will create.

Sub Race/Mixed Race

Here's where you can write in more specifics about your character's race. For example: You're an elf, but you want to specify that you're a Drow. Or, if you're a Genasi, which element? If there are specifics to both halves of your mixed race character, what are they? For example, an Elf-Orc looks very different from a Half-Elf or a Half-Orc.

Race

If you are BIPOC, please let me know what your race is. I want to represent you and your character accurately!

Character's Skin Color

A simple one or two word description will do here. We can go over any nuances in more detail later.

Character's Gender

Let me know how your character presents themselves!

Character's Class/Multiclass

Character's Eyes

This could be as simple as "they have blue eyes," or as detailed as, "they have blue eyes, but the left eye's pupil shines like opal and the skin surrounding it is shriveled and diseased."

Character's Hair

Please include hair color, length, texture, and if they wear it a particular way.

Jewelry

Can be as simple as, "they wear a lot of rings," or as detailed as, "they wear a sigil to [deity] and the symbol is [details]."

Distinguishing Marks or Features

Here's where you'd add any scars, tattoos, missing limbs, etc.

Weapon(s)

What kind of weapon(s) would you like featured with your character and describe any particular details if it has any.

Equipment

List any particular equipment you'd like featured as part of your character's design. These items are usually ones that can be worn on the back, worn on a belt, or poking out of a bag. Think books, bottles, wands, instruments, tools, etc.

Clothing/Armor

List any particular armor pieces or articles of clothing that are noteworthy for your character. Could be as simple as, "they wear scale mail," or as detailed as, "they have a magical red bycocket hat with a white feather."

Character's Personality

This could be a list of adjectives, and/or specifics on what expression/pose you'd like them to have.

Background

I'm looking for details that specifically effect your characters appearance. Are they a noble? A sailor? Are they from a town in the desert? Is your campaign even a high fantasy setting? Details like these all effect the kind of references I pull for your character's design.

Do you have any references; mood boards, facial references, color palettes?

Regardless of your answer, we'll go over these things together. I just want to get an idea of what I'll be working with before we start.
